Work Package 5: Integration and Technical Validation

The purpose of this WP is twofold: first, to integrate the different components from technical partners into a main general architecture. The main purpose of this task is to define an overall architecture for the project taking inputs from the different technical partners, and to deploy a full integration plan for its components. Second, to define validation activities in order to assure valid results within the project based on scientific and technical objectives of the project as specified in this Technical Annex. Such validation activity aims at monitoring and detecting deviations from the original plan, thus providing feedback to the project management for early corrective actions.
Specific objectives are :
- To collect and analyse the requirements and then to establish the overall requirements for GLOCAL
- To develop the first pilot application that will demonstrate the breadth and depth of the GLOCAL media retrieval engine.
- To integrate the GLOCAL technical components developed by the relevant technical partners into a fully functional GLOCAL system
- To validate through analysis the usage of the GLOCAL workflow from a usability and end-user point of view.
- To create a set of showcases, based on the analysis of requirements performed in WP6 according to the three main applications scenarios.
