Work Package 6: User Scenarios
Lead partner: AFP
The objectives of this work package is to define a set of showcases suitable for the demonstration and evaluation of the GLOCAL platform. Such scenarios will be created along the three main scenarios defined in the project, i.e., common users dealing with generic contents, professional users dealing with professional contents, and professional users dealing with mixed (professional plus user-generated) contents.
This work package has two major outcomes: (i) the definition of user-requirements as an input to WP5 for the creation of a set of showcase prototypes that seamlessly integrate various components developed as part of other work packages for an event-driven user search experience; (ii) the evaluation of the showcases through appropriate user studies and other forms of experimental assessment.
A common methodology for testing the different scenarios will be implemented in agreement with all testing cases and user scenarios. A policy of incentives will be identified by the consortium to attract and commit only truly motivated users (e.g., offering special-price access to GLOCAL application scenarios, when ready, or free membership to the project - non confidential - mailing list).
The critical mass of user groups and pilot users will be identified by focusing the selection criteria, whenever possible, on large consortia and association of professional users. User groups will be identified and selected at first among the current clients and existing partner o the Institutions involved in this task. Other forms of scouting for additional user groups, association and respectable (skilled) users will formulated during the project, including attractive incentive and motivation to the user groups.
This WP will have a link to the success criteria analysis in order to measure the effectiveness of user group definition and feedback contribution.
