Work Package 7: Dissemination and Exploitation

The purpose of this WP is twofold: First, to ensure the full exploitation of the tools and technologies developed within the project. Second, to disseminate the project knowledge and results into the research and industrial communities.
Specific objectives are :
- Analyse the impact and marketing opportunities that contribute to the long term goal of building real-life solutions with the GLOCAL technology, identifying major trends and areas of interest for the project focusing on the competition and differentiating aspects of the project results with regards to others commercial and research projects (this effort will be achieved by attending also ad-hoc specific international conferences, workshops and seminars).
- Maintain and execute a dissemination plan which (a) prepares the market for GLOCAL products, systems and services, (b) provides opportunities for feedback from potential users of the GLOCAL system, (c) disseminates technical progress to the European research community, and (d) the assessment of Jpeg-XR image compression, IPTC photo metadata and Events-ML standards, (e), coorganize international events, and (f) co-organize a high reputation Summer School (3rd year). Maintain and execute an ongoing exploitation plan, which incorporates internal and external analysis such that exploitation of the developed technologies is enabled.
- Maintain a GLOCAL web site to be used as both a dissemination mechanism and as a means of gathering feedback from peers, experts, researchers, potential customers, industry, and the general public.
- Contribute to and generate clustering activities with relevant projects and initiatives.
